Jessica Silver L.Ac. is a graduate of the New
England School of Acupuncture, where she earned her Masters
degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by
the State of New York to practice acupuncture, and is a Nationally
Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology via the
NCCAOM (National Certification
Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Jessica is
also certified in Auriculotherapy through the Auriculotherapy
Certification Institute (ACI) based in California, and trained
and certified (by Virginia
Doran) to practice Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. She holds
a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Biology from Binghamton
University.
Jessica is drawn to Asian medicine because of its effectiveness
in treating the whole person with a non-invasive approach. In
addition, she finds great value in treating the root cause of
illness, and not merely the symptoms. Such depth of treatment
prevents recurrence of disease and discourages new illness from
occurring. Jessica has a strong background in the biological sciences
and a keen interest and devotion to understanding and applying
this ancient and powerful medicine. She is committed to providing
the highest quality of care and working with her patients to achieve
optimal health.
Special areas of training include Japanese styles of acupuncture,
Chinese herbal medicine, stress/anxiety disorders, women’s
health, digestive disorders, immune system health, and facial
rejuvenation. She offers acupuncture and herbal medicine combo
treatments, Japanese style with minimal-needling treatments, or
herbal consultation and treatment for those not interested in
acupuncture.
