Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
Facial Rejuvenation, also referred to as "Cosmetic Acupuncture" or "Acupuncture Facelift" is a non-invasive, painless method of reducing signs of the aging process. It is a natural and effective therapy which can erase years from the face while promoting overall health. Based on the principles of Oriental Medicine, it helps the whole body look and feel younger by addressing the physical, mental and emotional patterns that cause disease and contribute to the aging process.

What Are the Benefits?
Primary goals of the treatment are to improve circulation to the face, improve lymph and fluid flow and metabolism, reduce swelling, and add tone and elasticity to facial skin and muscles.

Benefits of a Facial Rejuvenation Series
Improves muscle tone and dermal contraction.
Increases collagen production and has an effect on its dispersal.
Helps eliminate & reduce bags under eyes and decreases a tendency toward sagging & jowls.
Helps eliminate puffiness by improving metabolism.
Helps eliminate fine lines of the face & has a diminishing effect on larger wrinkles.
Improves hormonal balance.
Moisturizes the skin by increased local circulation of blood and lymph.
Improves Facial color by increase of peripheral circulation.
Reduces or eliminates double chins.
Tightens pores.
Brightens eyes & helps drooping eyelids.
Reduces stress evident in face.
Promotes overall health & well being.
Slows the aging process from within.

Does it Work?
The majority of patients who receive facial rejuvenation treatment are very satisfied. A 1996 report in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with Facial Acupuncture, 90% had marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects included: the skin becoming delicate and fair, improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles and leveling of wrinkles, a ruddier complexion, and overall rejuvenation-not confined to the face.

How Many Treatments are Needed?
A course of treatments in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture usually consists of 10-15 sessions. The treatments should be administered 1-3 times per week within aboout 10 weeks. Chinese herbal medicine may be recommended to enhance treatment results. Following the initial course of treatment, monthly maintenance sessions can prolong the results for five to ten years.

Why Choose Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture over Cosmetic Surgery?
While not a replacement for surgery, Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation is an excellent alternative. It is far less costly than cosmetic surgery and is safe, virtually painless, has no side effects or risk of disfigurement. Unlike surgery that may have an extended recovery period with swelling and discoloration, there is no trauma involved. While Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation cannot reshape one's nose or chin, it is a more subtle rejuvenation that takes years off one's face, safely and naturally, while improving overall health.

-some pituitary disorders
